Space Crew: Legendary Edition will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One beginning on Thursday, October 21st, 2021. It has been reported that some of these missions will also add to the challenge by testing players’ ability to perform these tasks while under a strict time limit. The Legendary Edition downloadable content pack will also add new missions that allow players to take up to three of their crew members outside of their spaceships in what are called “away missions.” These tasks will require players to explore such places as space stations and other ships, as well as possibly solve puzzles and engage in combat. In order to help you take on those pesky robots, victorious captains will gain access to new upgrades to their respective space-faring vessels. As a result of that, the androids are no longer allied with your crew’s employer, the United Defense Force. To name an example of what Space Crew: Legendary Edition will feature, this DLC will expand upon the game’s main story campaign and see players battle against an army of androids that have gone rogue. The DLC will be available on any platform for which the game has been released.

Space Crew’s campaign is mission-based, bringing us procedurally-generated stages across the galaxy as you fend off this invading force. Taking us to the year 2159, you now play as members of the “United Defence Force”, seeking to defend Earth from an alien race known as Phasmids. It was quite surprising then to see a sequel putting us in charge of an intergalactic spaceship with Space Crew.
Developed by Runner Duck, it successfully mixed a real-time management simulation with strategy, taking place in a World War 2 setting. It’s been two years since Bomber Crew landed on Switch and at the time, we thought quite highly of it.
